The intimate moments, the scenes discovered. Decisive moments, emotions. Nothing gives me more satisfaction then when someone looks at an image and says to me, “I never saw that and I was standing right next to you”.

I have been telling stories for 25 years full-time as a photojournalist and photo editor for New York Times Regional News Group and Halifax Media Group. I’ve reported stories as far away as war torn Europe and as close as my own backyard (literally).

I’ve won many awards through the years, but what always means the most to me is the impact my photography has on people’s lives.

Photojouralists don’t get another chance. The moments happen once.
